Cumbria waste study targets tourism industry

A new study looking at the waste produced by the tourism industry in the Central Lake District is now underway.

The findings of the study will be used to identify new recycling initiatives, opportunities for new services and new local jobs, with a view to making Cumbria’s tourism industry more sustainable and the area more attractive as a ‘green’ destination.

Director appointments finalised

Fridey Cordingley

The appointment of Fridey Cordingley to the newly created post of Communications Director completes the planned expansion of our senior management and consultancy team. Fridey comes to us from WRAP where she is Head of Recycle Now and we look forward to her taking up her appointment at the end of August.

Other recent appointments have been: Ray Georgeson as non executive Director, Dr Julian Parfitt as Technical Director and Mike Moore as Financial Director.
